Last updated on October 25, 2018
At NEED4SEAT we are committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of our visitors in our website and our software. We want you to know that we are not in the business of selling any personal information to other companies. We do however collect some personal information, particularly to improve our products.
In this Privacy Policy we provide details about how we collect, use and process your personal information in conjunction with this website and the NEED4SEAT software. This policy also describes the measures we take to protect the security of your information.
Personal information we collect
When you use our services, we may request that you provide certain personal information. Particularly when you purchase an item from our website, we will ask you for information necessary to complete the transaction. We will only store your email address together with a unique user id. This is required so we are able to renew your subscription. We will never store any credit card or other payment details; a third-party provider is used for payment processing.
Where you are added to a mailing list, you can opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the email. We will only send relevant information about product updates, and we will never send any spam. A third-party provider is used to deliver the newsletter, and we gather statistics about email openings and clicks to help us monitor and improve it.
When you use our software, certain characteristics of your system such as hard drive identifiers and your network adapter's hardware address will be stored. We collect this information to identify your system for the purpose of determining the end of the trial period and to prevent any licenses from being shared among users.
Our software will regularly send usage statistics to our server when you are using it. These statistics include information about seating attempts at online poker tables and are tied to your user id. We collect this information solely to improve our product and to detect malfunctioning in our software.
Non-personal information we collect
We collect certain aggregate and non-personal information when users visit our websites. Aggregate and non-personal information does not relate to a single, identifiable visitor. It tells us general information such as how many users visited our sites and the pages they accessed. Through various tracking methods and using log files, we may track domain names, IP addresses and browser types from those who visit our websites. We use this information to track aggregate website traffic patterns, and such information is not correlated with any personal information.
Cookies
We may use cookies from time to time. A cookie is a unique text file that a website can send to your browser software. Cookies enable a website to tailor information presented to you based on your browsing preferences. We may use cookies to personalize web pages during your visit, or to remember you when you return.
We specifically use cookies to offer discounts from our affiliates or our Refer-A-Friend program. We may also use cookies to track your visit in order to collect aggregate data; however, this information will only be used for analytical purposes and will be limited to the minimum necessary to perform the analysis. If you do not want us to deploy cookies in your browser, you can set your browser's privacy settings to reject cookies or to notify you when a website tries to put a cookie in your browser software. Be aware that rejecting cookies may affect your ability to use some of the products and services on our websites.
Sharing your information
As mentioned in the introduction we will never sell any of your personal information to other companies. We do have some affiliate partners, who will receive a commission if you sign up through their website or affiliate links. We may share information about subscription statistics with these partners, but they will never include any personal information.
Security of personal information
We have taken appropriate security measures, consistent with modern information practices, to protect your personal information. These measures include, on our websites and internet-enabled technologies, administrative, technical, physical and procedural steps to protect your data from misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, loss, alteration or destruction.
Links to business partners
On our website, we provide links to companies with whom we may have a business relationship. However, we are not responsible for the privacy practices of any party to which we provide links, including our business partners. We encourage you to read their privacy statements, as they may differ from ours. By clicking on a link to access an external website, you are agreeing to submit to that site's privacy practices.
